Love is unconditional. And if you love, there will also be loss because the person or people you love will at some point slip out of your life, or you out of theirs. At one point, I considered calling this piece "Love and Loss", but in the end I left that to the music itself. I hope you will feel it in the narrative arc of the composition.

In the first part of a previous arrangement of "Love", I used metal percussion to tell a story. It was a good prototype, but it left me wanting something more. I'm therefore delighted that my old friend and musical companion, Damian Clarke, agreed to contribute a new hammer dulcimer part to the song.
